LevelKorean (레벨코리안) is a free tool for learning Korean and for teaching it. Lessons are built on the Standard Curriculum for Korean Language Education from the National Institute of Korean Language — the same framework Korean language programmes use.

What you study

Eight courses, twelve lessons each. Every lesson mixes listening, speaking, reading and writing, with native-speaker audio for each new word and a place to record yourself saying it.

For teachers

A class takes a minute to open. Students join with a code instead of making an account, so the first ten minutes of a lesson are not spent on sign-ups. You set assignments, collect written and spoken answers, and see the next morning which questions the class got wrong — not after the exam.

Teaching slides are provided for every lesson, and classes in the Korea Immigration & Integration Program (KIIP) are managed separately because they run on their own stages.

About the curriculum

Every lesson carries a level from the national standard (levels 1–6), a topic category and a communicative function chosen from that standard — not invented for this tool. Levels 1–2 overlap with what TOPIK I covers and levels 3–4 with TOPIK II, but the two systems do not map one to one, and this is a study tool rather than a past-paper book. No exam questions or textbook passages are reproduced; every item here was written for this course.
